About the role#
This 12-week internship offers students hands-on experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers on real projects while receiving mentorship and training. This role is a paid, full-time position based on-site in Peoria, Illinois.
What you'll do#
- Shadow and collaborate with experienced engineers on active projects.
- Assist with facility layout and renovation tasks.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing Operations, Materials, and Quality groups.
- Contribute to key manufacturing engineering projects.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering program at a 4-year accredited college or university.
- Strong mechanical reasoning skills and the ability to apply academic knowledge to business challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint, as well as AutoCAD and other analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt to new challenges.
- Strong motivation to contribute and drive results.
- Previous welding experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in work study programs, volunteer leadership, or team-based clubs is preferred.
