About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at Kroger, you support the pharmacy team by providing quality care and service to our customers. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to assist with medication dispensing, patient counseling, and administrative tasks. This role requires a balance of technical accuracy and a helpful, professional demeanor.
What you'll do#
- Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system.
- Provide drug counseling and answer questions regarding pharmaceutical products for customers and prescribers.
- Assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations and immunization services under pharmacist supervision.
- Process third-party insurance claims and contact prescribers for authorization.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking incoming orders and stocking medications.
- Promote a welcoming environment by assisting customers with respect and integrity.
- Follow all safety protocols and report any incidents or risks to management.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
- A current state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a busy environment.
- Skills to manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner.
- Commitment to honesty and integrity when handling customer and business information.

- This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship with a rolling term.
