About the role#
L3Harris Technologies is looking for a Finance Intern to join our team in Melbourne. You will support our finance operations by managing functions related to business acquisitions and program execution. This role involves working with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial processes run accurately.
What you'll do#
- Manage financial tasks for business acquisitions and program execution.
- Create, validate, and generate complex customer invoices.
- Process invoices to ensure they meet contract terms and conditions.
- Provide billing guidance to the Contracts and Program Finance departments through daily customer interaction.
- Reconcile accounts receivable and invoices to maintain accuracy.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Research and reconcile data to assist with the cash application process.
- Participate in initiatives to improve existing financial processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, Business Administration, or Mathematics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, corporate forecasting, and cost or schedule development.
- Familiarity with contract compliance and negotiation.
- Experience with management or customer reporting.

- Location: Melbourne, Florida.
- Schedule: 9/80 work schedule, which includes every other Friday off.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
