About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will apply computer science and mathematical principles to develop software for tactical radio equipment. You will work with cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate hardware and software interfaces. This role involves contributing to the design and performance requirements of complex systems.
What you'll do#
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis to final testing.
- Develop test procedures, programs, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools to collect operating data and evaluate system results.
- Participate in peer reviews to identify and fix software defects.
- Work with embedded software for real-time control systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A solid understanding of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
- Experience with the software development life cycle.
- Proficiency or interest in languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, or Python.
Location & details#
- Location: Northampton, Massachusetts.
- Schedule: Full-time, 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off).
- Compensation: $29.00 to $53.50 per hour.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
