About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Colorado Springs. You will work on-site as part of the engineering team. The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical concepts to develop software for target applications.
- Develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, including design requirements for the overall system.
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle, specifically focusing on embedded software for real-time control of tactical radio equipment.
- Create software test procedures, programs, and documentation.
- Use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct tests, and evaluate results.
- Participate in peer reviews to identify, track, and repair defects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences, or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one software language such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, Ajax, or Qt.
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, mobile platforms, or embedded real-time operating systems.
