About the role#
Labcorp is seeking a Commercial Finance Intern to join our team in Indianapolis. This role is part of our 2027 Global Internship Program, an 11-week experience designed to provide hands-on exposure to financial analysis, commercial strategy, and business operations. You will work 40 hours per week in a hybrid environment, collaborating with teams across Finance, Sales, and Operations to support our mission of improving health outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Support commercial analysts and managers with data collection, validation, and analysis.
- Prepare client and internal financial reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Perform research and analytical work to support commercial strategy initiatives.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of business tools, models, and reporting processes.
- Organize and summarize large data sets to identify trends and business insights.
- Participate in project meetings and support ongoing commercial initiatives.
- Prepare Excel-based analyses and PowerPoint presentations for management review.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work with large data sets and organize information effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Salesforce is a plus.
- Interest in healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or clinical research is preferred.
