About the role#
Lactalis American Group is hiring a Compensation and Global Mobility Intern based in New York. This is a 12-month paid, full-time internship. You will take ownership of key projects while gaining experience in compensation management and the mobility of international assignees. You will collaborate with US HR teams and external vendors to support company goals.
What you'll do#
- Participate in job evaluation, mapping, and the Job Architecture project.
- Create a library of USA job descriptions in coordination with local HR teams.
- Audit and analyze compensation data, conduct surveys, and perform salary benchmarks.
- Support compensation projects related to salary structures and manage salary increase campaigns.
- Assist with international mobility projects and policy updates.
- Serve as the referent for the J1 visa process in coordination with the French American Chamber.
- Process basic corporate immigration cases and coordinate meetings between attorneys and employees.
- Relay concerns to team members and attorneys as needed.
- Track expenses related to relocation and tax vendors.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree.
- A major in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred.
- Practical experience from prior internships or professional roles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Fluency in French or Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to work well within a team.
