About the role#
As a Development Intern, you will work with our development analyst team to support student housing, build-to-rent, and multifamily projects. You will contribute to our development decisions by compiling and analyzing data. This is a part-time, on-site role running from January 5, 2027, through April 23, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Research market conditions and present data on occupancy, rental rates, pre-lease, supply, demand, and demographics.
- Assist with underwriting pro forma financial models, including research on government fees, property taxes, and market rents.
- Help prepare investment memoranda and presentations for debt and equity capital raising.
- Support the preparation of offers for ground leases and land purchases.
- Perform general financial analysis and research for deals throughout the development life cycle.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Finance, Real Estate, or Business Administration.
- Strong academic record and a clear interest in real estate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with tools such as Smartsheet, CoStar, AxioMetrics, Google Earth Pro, and College House is a plus.
