About the role#
As a Development Intern, you will report to our development analyst team. You will spend your summer compiling, analyzing, and reporting data for student housing, build-to-rent, and multifamily development opportunities. Your contributions will help inform our firm's development decisions.
What you'll do#
- Research market conditions and present quantitative data on rental rates, occupancy, demographics, supply, demand, and other indicators.
- Assist in underwriting pro forma financial models for potential development opportunities, including general Excel modeling.
- Conduct research on market rents, property taxes, and government fees.
- Help prepare investment memoranda and presentations for equity and debt capital raising.
- Assist with the preparation of offers for land purchases and ground leases.
- Perform general research and financial analysis for deals throughout the development life cycle.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- An excellent academic record and a clear interest in real estate.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Clear written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited guidance.
- Familiarity with Google Earth Pro, AxioMetrics, CoStar, College House, and Smartsheet is preferred.

- This position is based on-site in Atlanta, Georgia.
- The internship is a full-time role running from June 1, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
- This is a paid internship.
