About the role#
Layup Parts is a manufacturing startup building technology to speed up the production of composite parts for the aerospace, defense, and motorsports industries. We are looking for Software Engineering Interns to join our Software & Controls team. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role based in Huntington Beach, California. We accept applications on a rolling basis for all seasons.
What you'll do#
- Build out our factory operating system.
- Design interfaces for production machinery to capture real-time data.
- Create new features for our customer portal.
- Develop internal tools to improve manufacturing processes through automation.
What you'll need#
- Strong engineering ability and a focus on fundamentals.
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and existing code bases.
- Hands-on experience with Go, React TS, or Rust.
- Familiarity with customer-facing software applications.
- A solid understanding of the mechanical and manufacturing world.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software or part design is a plus.
- Must meet ITAR requirements as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
