About the role#
This position is for a Radiology Extern based at UP Health System Marquette. You will work in the Cath Lab on a PRN basis with varied shifts. This is a paid, full-time role that operates on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Operate stationary and portable diagnostic imaging equipment with guidance from an imaging technologist.
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations under direct or indirect supervision.
- Process images and evaluate them for technical quality.
- Notify the appropriate personnel if follow-up is needed.
- Assist with patient registration and general office tasks.
- Transport patients when necessary.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine program, or an accredited diagnostic medical sonographer program is preferred.
- ARRT registry, Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification, or Registered in Diagnostic Ultrasound (RDMS) status is preferred.
