About the role#
This is a part-time, paid internship at LifeScape. It offers students a way to gain clinical experience while working alongside experienced therapists. The role is designed for those planning to advance into healthcare careers like physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech-language pathology.
What you'll do#
- Assist therapists with session preparation, including setting up equipment and creating therapy materials.
- Support patients during treatment through mobility work, transfers, and guided activities.
- Help with specialized techniques such as serial casting and gait training.
- Score assessments, track outcomes, and create necessary tools.
- Maintain equipment, manage supplies, and ensure smooth clinic flow.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a post-secondary student in a healthcare-related field, such as Kinesiology, Nursing, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, or Psychology.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A reliable and detail-oriented approach to your work.
Location & details#
- Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
- Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 AM to Noon.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
