About the role#
As a Civil Engineering Intern at LJA, you will work alongside experienced professionals to contribute to real-world projects. You will gain hands-on experience while developing the technical and professional skills needed to launch your career. This is a full-time, on-site role for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform engineering assignments under the direction of experienced engineers.
- Shadow actual operations to learn about various project phases.
- Complete unique assignments that support larger projects.
- Experience the day-to-day workings of the engineering industry.
- Participate in company social engagement activities.
- Learn about the different sectors and services offered by LJA.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least one year of college.
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong academic performance and a high level of motivation.
- A sincere desire to gain experience in and knowledge of the industry.
- Good organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies.
- Ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.
- A strong work ethic.
