About the role#
As an Electrical Intern in our Energy department, you will assist with engineering assignments under the guidance of experienced engineers. You will work directly under the design manager to contribute to unique tasks and larger project initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience through shadowing day-to-day engineering operations to build a practical understanding of real-world workflows.

- Perform engineering assignments with direction from experienced staff.
- Shadow daily operations to learn how projects move from start to finish.
- Complete unique assignments that support larger project goals.
- Participate in professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Electrical Engineering or a related field at an ABET accredited university.
- Strong academic performance and a high level of motivation.
- A sincere interest in gaining industry knowledge and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a specific focus on MS Excel.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Houston, Texas.
- The program runs during Summer 2027, from mid-May through the first week of August.
- Work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
