About the role#
Ulteig is looking for an Electrical Engineer Intern to join the Renewables team for the Summer 2027 season. This internship provides hands-on experience on real-world projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers to support the design and analysis of renewable energy systems.
What you'll do#
- Support electrical engineers and technicians on renewable energy projects.
- Assist with electrical engineering calculations, drawings, design studies, and technical documentation.
- Learn and use engineering software such as CAD, EasyPower, ETAP, and PSS®E.
- Compile and analyze technical data to support engineering evaluations and project deliverables.
- Collaborate with project teams and internal resources to meet client needs.
- Gain exposure to client interaction, marketing, sales, and business development activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least two years of coursework completed.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be able to work full-time during Summer 2027.
- Must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
- Prior experience or coursework in electrical power systems is preferred.

- Locations: Greenwood Village, CO; Fargo, ND; St. Louis Park, MN; or St. Paul, MN.
- Modality: Remote, hybrid, or on-site options available.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: Paid internship ($28-$30/hr).
