About the role#
Ulteig is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Automation, Integration and System Protection team for Summer 2027. This role provides hands-on experience with engineering projects in the power and renewables sectors. You will work with a team of professionals to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world technical challenges.
What you'll do#
- Support engineers on projects related to substation SCADA, network integration, and relay settings design.
- Assist in the preparation of technical deliverables, documentation, and design packages for utility and renewable clients.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Collaborate with engineering professionals to meet project deadlines and contribute to overall project success.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 2 years toward a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering by Summer 2027.
- Coursework or interest in electrical power systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
- Ability to follow direction.
- Availability to work full-time during Summer 2027.

- This position is based in Sacramento, California.
- Work modalities include remote, hybrid, and on-site options.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- Candidates must have authorization to work permanently in the United States.
