About the role#
Ulteig is hiring Civil Engineer Interns for our Renewables team. You will support the design and development of utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects. This internship provides hands-on experience in engineering design while you work under the guidance of experienced professionals. You will contribute to real-world projects that support the energy transition.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and preparation of development and construction plans for renewable energy projects.
- Work with engineers and technicians across disciplines on multiple active projects.
- Learn and apply AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design and plan production.
- Support the preparation of design deliverables, including plans, reports, and permit documentation.
- Participate in the development of permitting applications for local, state, and federal review.
- Gain exposure to regulatory frameworks and standards relevant to civil design.
- Perform engineering calculations, develop standard details, and assist in the preparation of technical drawings.
- Assist in field visits to support data collection or site assessments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
- At least two years of coursework completed by Summer 2027.
- Prior experience or coursework in AutoCAD Civil 3D software design is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be able to work full-time during Summer 2027.
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
