About the role#
Mackenzie Investments is hiring a Data Engineering Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This position is based in the Greater Toronto Area and runs from January to April 2027. You will work in a hybrid capacity, spending three days per week in the office. This is a full-time, paid internship requiring 37.5 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist in managing critical enterprise applications on Windows platforms.
- Support the team in planning and executing application upgrades.
- Participate in the deployment of application updates and patches.
- Conduct daily health checks on the application ecosystem.
- Help identify and troubleshoot application performance issues.
What you'll need#
- You must be a registered student returning to school in 2026 in a related field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Nursing, Cybersecurity, or Mathematics.
- A foundational knowledge of IT concepts, including software updates and system maintenance.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Technical curiosity regarding enterprise applications.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
