About the role#
The Institutional Sales Intern joins our team in the Greater Toronto Area for the Winter 2027 term, running from January to April. This is a full-time, paid position requiring 37.5 hours per week. You will support the team in building and maintaining relationships with institutional investors across Canada while gaining exposure to the investment management industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing client presentations, meeting materials, pitch books, and proposal responses.
- Conduct market, industry, and competitive research to identify trends, opportunities, and insights.
- Support ongoing CRM maintenance, pipeline reporting, and tracking of institutional sales activities.
- Contribute to special projects aimed at improving team processes and operational efficiency.
- Develop an understanding of institutional investment products and portfolio construction.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong interest in financial markets, investing, asset management, or institutional client relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify key insights.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional presentations and reports.
- Comfort with technical assignments and a high level of numeracy.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, exercise good judgment, and manage time-sensitive deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Candidates must be returning to school after the internship to be eligible.

- Compensation: The annual base salary range for this role is $49,000 to $51,000, prorated for the term, plus paid time off.
