About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our Disability Operations team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work with our team to help manage disability claims and support our clients. This role is a full-time, paid position based in Toronto. You will work in a hybrid environment.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Case Managers, Disability Specialists, and Associate Managers.
- Contact Plan Members, Plan Sponsors, medical professionals, and vendors through phone calls and written communication.
- Conduct functional telephone interviews with Plan Members.
- Maintain accurate and current claim files.
- Process invoice payments and update banking information for Plan Members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program, specifically in Nursing, Health Sciences, or Mental Health.
- Experience in administrative work or customer service.
- Basic understanding of health insurance and claims processing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and within a team.
