About the role#
This Data & Analytics Co-op position is an 8-month placement based in Waterloo. You will work within the Data Office to support data-driven decision-making. The role involves gaining hands-on experience in customer experience, analytics, and process improvement. You will have access to training, mentorship, and networking opportunities throughout your term.
What you'll do#
- Use analytical skills to understand business drivers and clarify initiative requirements.
- Perform data mining, analysis, visualization, process assessment, and root cause analysis.
- Prepare well-documented solution requirements and present findings clearly.
- Lead meetings and communicate information across different organizational levels.
- Support business partners through changes to ensure smooth transitions.
- Depending on your team, tasks may include financial reporting, risk oversight, vendor management, or dashboard creation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university program for Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry, specifically wealth and asset management.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Suite or comparable automation and data visualization tools.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
