About the role#
As an Analog Engineer Intern, you will join the Central Engineering team to design physical layer ICs for high-speed fiber optic data communication. You will work on DSP transceivers that support systems ranging from 10Gbps to 1600Gbps. This role involves the design and validation of FET and BiCMOS circuits for high-speed broadband applications.
What you'll do#
- Understand product requirements and how your specific block fits into the overall design.
- Take ownership of a block for delivery into one of our DSP transceivers.
- Evaluate tradeoffs between different circuit topologies.
- Perform schematic capture and layout using the Cadence Virtuoso environment.
- Run schematic level and post layout simulations to quantify and optimize circuit performance.
- Document your designs and lead design reviews with the team.
What you'll need#
- MS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Strong fundamental knowledge of circuit design.
- Understanding of device physics.
- Experience with feedback and loop stability analysis.
- Strong skills in communication, presentation, and documentation.
