About the role#
As a Training Content Developer Intern, you will work under the supervision of the Training Program Manager to create and refine instructional materials. This role focuses on building standard work instructions, training videos, and classroom content. You will help unify job practices across shifts and ensure that training programs meet the needs of our production, sanitation, and quality departments.
What you'll do#
- Develop and write documents and media for training plans.
- Create hands-on training assessments and track progress using Learning Management Systems.
- Update existing job procedures with digital media and supplemental materials.
- Collaborate with plant operations to address the training needs of new and current employees.
- Assist in reviewing new projects and equipment to ensure training requirements are defined before installation.
- Establish follow-up sessions to measure how well training works.
- Coordinate with Production, Sanitation, Human Resources, and Quality departments to develop training protocols.
What you'll need#
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in training content development.
- Experience in a manufacturing or training environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to use image and video editing software.
- Technical writing skills for documenting processes and standard work.
- Understanding of high-speed packaging and production labeling equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work across a three-shift operation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for coaching and presenting information.
