About the role#
Mativ is hiring a Safety Intern to support the Environmental, Health, and Safety team at our Minneapolis manufacturing plant. This is a full-time, paid position that offers exposure to corporate EHS strategic initiatives and site-level operations.
What you'll do#
- Lead or contribute to projects focused on EHS data collection, management, and communication across the facility and enterprise.
- Assist in developing and implementing corporate policies, training programs, and procedures related to MNOSHA, CWA, RCRA, SPCC, and ESG.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote safety and environmental stewardship.
- Develop a working knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Interact with site EHS leaders and corporate staff on ongoing initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Prior internship or work experience in a safety-related role.
- Strong organizational and technical skills.
- Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.

- This role is based on-site in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
- Compensation starts at $22.00 per hour.
