About the role#
McKenney's, Inc. is hiring an Engineering Co-op for the Winter 2027 and Fall 2027 terms. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Atlanta, Georgia. You will work with engineers, project managers, and vendors to support construction projects from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with architects and clients to develop project designs.
- Size ductwork, piping, and plumbing systems.
- Select equipment and fixtures for projects.
- Coordinate directly with vendors to specify equipment.
- Create design documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Visit jobsites to gather information and verify construction progress.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering Co-op program at an accredited school.
- Commitment to complete at least two full-time, alternating Co-op rotations before you graduate.
- Ability to manage your time productively.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

- This role requires occasional visits to active construction sites, which may involve climbing stairs or ladders and navigating the area.
