About the role#
McKenney's, Inc. is hiring a Safety Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Atlanta, Georgia. You will work directly with Safety Specialists and Managers to support project safety efforts and help maintain a zero-incident culture.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the safety team on project-wide safety initiatives.
- Analyze safety data using predictive AI tools to spot trends and share findings.
- Conduct root cause analysis for injuries and near misses.
- Walk jobsites and fabrication shops to identify hazards and observe construction workflows.
- Answer safety-related questions from project managers and field leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with web applications and database software.
- Ability to work on-site and navigate active construction areas, including climbing stairs or ladders when necessary.
