About the role#
Metallus Inc. is hiring a Solidification Maintenance Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Canton, Ohio. You will work within the manufacturing environment to support maintenance operations and process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce and eliminate swarf accumulation.
- Develop detailed job plans to support critical projects for the 2027 shutdowns.
- Create step-by-step job plans and document processes within the LOGIC system to ensure standardization.
- Design and implement a structured tagging system for the IBA monitoring system.
- Work with the Process Control Engineering team to understand tagging processes and best practices.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Inventor.
