About the role#
Mohawk Valley Community College is hiring a Student Assistant for the Metal Fabrication Labs. This role supports the daily operations of the lab and assists staff with facility management. You will work on-site and support both students and faculty.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and install lab equipment and supplies for student and faculty use.
- Assist staff with daily lab operations.
- Re-stock lab equipment components.
- Perform basic maintenance on metal fabrication equipment.
- Configure lab facilities, including the installation of new equipment and fixtures.
- Help with general office tasks like mail delivery and pick up.
- Assist instructors in the lab.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Industrial Design.
- Ability to work under the supervision of a lab assistant.
- Availability to work up to 20 hours per week.
