About the role#
This internship program offers a 12-week opportunity within our Manufacturing Division. You will work on projects at our West Point, Pennsylvania site, which is our largest and most complex vaccine manufacturing facility. This role provides a chance to gain technical experience and contribute to vaccine production while evaluating the company for your long-term career goals.
What you'll do#
- Work as part of the team manufacturing vaccines for global distribution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Support or lead projects focused on improving safety and compliance performance.
- Maintain product standards through investigations and process improvements.
- Transfer products within the manufacturing network or assist in the startup of new facilities.
- Execute technical projects to enhance supply chain efficiency, such as increasing yields or reducing cycle times.
- Support the design, construction, or renovation of manufacturing, laboratory, and office facilities.
- Manage project phases from initial engineering drawings through to final startup.
- Work with teams to improve the reliability of equipment and facilities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an associate, bachelor's, or master’s degree program in Chemical, Biochemical, Biomedical, Biological, Computer, Electrical, Packaging, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Enrollment in a degree program related to Chemistry, Biology, Virology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biomanufacturing, Operations Research, or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
- Experience or knowledge in Lean Six Sigma and data analytics.
- Strong project management skills.
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical or vaccine manufacturing is preferred.
