    About the role#

    Multimatic is hiring a student for a rolling E-Coat Co-op position based in East Gwillimbury, Ontario. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role for students currently enrolled in a post-secondary program. We are looking for candidates studying Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, as well as Chemistry or Biology.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage the start-up, monitoring, and shutdown of e-coat wastewater and conveyor systems.
    • Perform analytical and instrumental tests on process tanks, including gravimetric and volumetric analyses.
    • Adjust paint and chemical levels to keep processes stable.
    • Conduct performance tests on finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.
    • Oversee the operation of process equipment like ultra-filtration systems, paint chillers, and chemical metering pumps.
    • Perform routine maintenance, such as changing filter systems and removing waste sludge.
    • Track chemical and consumable inventory levels.
    • Assist with process capability reports by collecting film-thickness data.
    • Maintain clean work areas and follow all departmental procedures.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a relevant post-secondary co-op program.
    • Knowledge of e-coat materials, processes, and equipment.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to recommend process improvements.
    • A working knowledge of S.P.C, Gage R&R, Calibrations, and Q.O.S is considered an asset.

    • Location: East Gwillimbury, Ontario, Canada.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $17.60 - $25.48 per hour.
