    About the role#

    Multimatic is hiring a Welding Support Co-op for an on-site position in East Gwillimbury, Ontario. This is a paid, full-time role for students currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program. The compensation range for this position is $17.60 to $25.48 per hour.

    What you'll do#

    • Solve maintenance problems while keeping production interruptions to a minimum.
    • Monitor weld processes to ensure all quality specifications are met.
    • Troubleshoot welding equipment and processes as needed.
    • Maintain equipment documentation and update records in MVP.
    • Participate in the Preventative Maintenance Program and follow maintenance schedules.
    • Help develop and implement new technologies to improve productivity and quality.
    • Recommend ways to increase equipment efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Assist the Assembly, Facilities, and Press/Toolroom departments as required.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a post-secondary co-op program in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Civil, or Computer Engineering, or Business Administration, Chemistry, or Physics.
    • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and the GMAW welding process.
    • Good problem-solving techniques and communication skills.
    • Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, or mechanical systems is an asset.
