About the role#
The SPARC Team at Navy Federal Credit Union is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst Intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside analysts and business leaders to explore data, identify trends, and develop reporting solutions. This 12-week program focuses on transforming data into actionable insights to support risk management and strategic decision-making. You will gain hands-on experience with modern analytics tools while working on projects that have a visible impact on leadership decisions.
What you'll do#
- Analyze business data to identify meaningful trends.
- Support the development of dashboards and visual reporting solutions.
- Assist with requirements gathering and documentation of business processes.
- Improve data quality, consistency, and governance practices.
- Create presentations to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in project meetings and collaborative problem solving.
- Conduct research and benchmarking to support strategic initiatives.
- Present project outcomes and recommendations to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort with basic data analysis tools and concepts.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly.
- Experience with tools such as Power BI, Databricks, SQL, Tableau, Python, or SharePoint Online.
- Familiarity with business process improvement concepts.

- Locations: Vienna, VA; Pensacola, FL; or Winchester, VA.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: 12-week program from May 2027 to August 2027.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CT.
- Employment: This is a full-time, paid internship.
