About the role#
This is an unpaid internship opportunity focused on news production in Knoxville, Tennessee. You will work on-site to support our newsroom operations. This role is open to students or recent graduates in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or Political Science.
What you'll do#
- Assist the team with news gathering and reporting tasks.
- Support the production of daily news segments.
- Research and fact-check information for upcoming stories.
- Help manage social media accounts and digital content.
- Participate in regular editorial meetings.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media and digital content platforms.
- Basic video editing skills.
