About the role#
WROC-TV/News 8 offers year-round internships for students to apply classroom theory to practical experience. This program allows you to see the reality of working in the broadcasting industry. You will have the chance to explore opportunities in news, promotion, digital media, sales, weather, and sports. Our management team provides guidance, but you are responsible for bringing an enthusiasm to learn. These internships are unpaid and designed specifically as learning experiences.
What you'll do#
- Experience the day-to-day operations of the broadcasting industry.
- Test your creative talent and exercise your analytical skills.
- Increase your understanding of current broadcasting operations and industry trends.
- Gain meaningful educational and work experience to help meet your academic and career goals.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- You must be currently enrolled in an accredited school, college, or university.
- You must be pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies.
- You are required to provide a letter from your school confirming that you will receive academic credit for this internship.
