About the role#
Nidec Motor Corporation is looking for a Software Engineer Co-Op to join the team in St. Louis. You will work alongside engineers to develop practical skills in software controls, contributing to the development, evaluation, and application of electric motors and integrated controls.
What you'll do#
- Test and verify both PC-based and embedded software.
- Create PC-based software for internal development use and external applications.
- Conduct tests and measurements on electronic controls and motors.
- Assemble prototypes and samples.
- Assist engineers with purchasing electronic components, test equipment, and mechanical parts.
- Support electronic lab activities, including maintaining lab cleanliness and calibrating test equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for software engineering, computer science, or a similar field.
- Ability to commit to 25-29 hours per week while attending school.
