About the role#
The Automation Engineering division at Nidec Motor Corporation is seeking an Engineering Co-Op to join the Project Engineering team. This role supports the development and integration of electric motor and motion control solutions for robotics and material handling systems. You will assist with product development, testing, validation, and project execution for new customer programs.
What you'll do#
- Manage a component database, which includes requesting quotes, issuing purchase orders, and tracking supplier lead times.
- Assist with prototype builds, including the design of prototype assist tooling.
- Manage CAD data within company database systems.
- Perform testing and complete the associated documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Ability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week, with 40 hours preferred.
- Experience using common shop hand tools.
- CAD experience, with a preference for Pro Engineer Creo.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.

- This is a paid, full-time co-op role with a rolling term.
