    About the role#

    NISC is hiring a Technical Support Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting our software solutions and assisting our internal and external users.

    What you'll do#

    • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows desktop operating system issues.
    • Join PCs to Windows domains and install NISC software.
    • Perform virus and spyware removal.
    • Use remote connectivity tools like Remote Desktop to assist users.
    • Create and test printers on Windows and Linux servers.
    • Provide phone support in an ACD environment.
    • Monitor Windows and Linux servers using Xymon tools.
    • Log support issues and develop action plans based on monitoring data.

    What you'll need#

    • A high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Current enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Coursework and a general understanding of Windows desktop operating systems, Linux and Windows servers, and TCP/IP networks.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical users.
    • A customer-oriented mindset and the ability to work well both independently and in a team.
    • A commitment to maintaining professional, ethical behavior and following NISC shared values.
