    About the role#

    Origami Rehabilitation offers clinical internships for students in Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, and Biomedical Sciences. This role involves providing rehabilitation services to children and adults with neurological, developmental, mental health, and orthopedic conditions. You will work under the direction of an assigned clinical instructor to support residential and outpatient programs.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop and administer treatment plans based on physician referrals and assessments.
    • Evaluate client progress and document findings in daily notes and discharge reports.
    • Model behavior that supports a positive therapeutic environment.
    • Communicate client progress to physicians, team members, and external stakeholders.
    • Attend clinical reviews, family conferences, and staff meetings.
    • Assist with scheduling client visits and billing processes as directed.
    • Help maintain documentation systems and collect clinical outcome data.

    What you'll need#

    • Knowledge equivalent to attending or completing a program in your designated discipline.
    • Ability to follow ethical guidelines and State of Michigan regulations for rehabilitation services.
    • Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans.
    • Strong communication skills to discuss progress with various stakeholders.
    • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
