About the role#
OrthoSC offers a student shadowing opportunity for those interested in a healthcare career. This program provides exposure to clinical environments and the delivery of orthopedic care. It is an unpaid position with a rolling schedule based on availability.
What you'll do#
- Observe day-to-day clinical operations within an orthopedic setting.
- Gain exposure to patient care processes and provider interactions.
- Obtain insight into how clinical and support disciplines work together.
- Adhere to company policies regarding professionalism and patient privacy.
- Follow dress code requirements for a clinical environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a relevant field such as Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, or Kinesiology.
- A completed Student Shadowing Application.
- Certificates of completion for OSHA and HIPAA training.
- Signed parental or guardian consent forms if you are under the age of 18.
