About the role#
As an Industrial Engineering Intern at McNeilus Truck & Mfg Inc, you will support the manufacturing department in achieving production goals. You will work under the guidance of the Manager of Manufacturing to contribute to continuous improvement efforts. This is a paid, full-time internship for the Summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support production processes and develop work instructions.
- Perform time studies and workstation or cell analyses to improve productivity and quality.
- Source or design tooling and equipment while managing assigned project work.
- Assist with plant layout and workstation design.
- Engage with employees to problem solve and gather input for manufacturing fixtures and tooling.
- Learn and use ERP software and engineering tools like Windchill and Creo.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.
- An expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Ability to travel or relocate to Murfreesboro, TN for the Summer of 2027.
