    About the role#

    As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will support the manufacturing department in achieving production goals and continuous improvement efforts. You will report to the Manager of Manufacturing and work on projects designed to improve productivity and quality. This is a paid, full-time internship for the Summer 2027 term.

    What you'll do#

    • Audit and update work instructions, routings, and bills of materials.
    • Perform time studies and workstation or cell analyses.
    • Develop methods for fabrication and machining processes.
    • Provide technical support to production personnel.
    • Assist with plant layout and workstation design.
    • Improve material handling methods.
    • Create documentation for new product launches.
    • Learn and use ERP manufacturing software.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Manufacturing, Welding Engineering Technology, Industrial, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.
    • Ability to work for the entire duration of the internship.
    • Strong technical aptitude.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Preference is given to candidates with a 3.0 GPA or higher, experience in welding, machining, or fabrication, and exposure to 2D or 3D CAD software, Lean concepts, or ERP systems.
