About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in finance and accounting within a manufacturing environment. You will support the business through analytical projects, operational analysis, and financial reporting. The role focuses on improving processes and completing tasks that support core finance functions.
What you'll do#
- Support inventory closing processes and Fixed Asset accounting.
- Assist with month-end reporting and truck costing.
- Review and verify vendor, customer, and employee expense statements.
- Create Excel files and track business metrics for Lean and Six Sigma projects.
- Help improve processes by using technology to remove non-value-added work.
- Become familiar with truck invoicing and prepare various reports, such as Fuel Tax.
- Complete other projects as agreed upon with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Ability to work full time, 40 hours per week, throughout the summer of 2027.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
- Strong mechanical aptitude is preferred.
