About the role#
Forward Deployed Software Engineers work directly with customers to understand their most significant challenges. You will design and implement technical solutions that use data to address these problems. You will join small teams and own the execution of projects from start to finish with minimal supervision. This internship provides the same level of responsibility as a full-time engineer, allowing you to contribute to outcomes that customers rely on for their critical operations.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with customers to identify problems and develop data-driven solutions.
- Manage end-to-end project execution within small, focused teams.
- Discuss system architecture and establish team strategy.
- Handle large-scale data and build custom web applications.
- Engage with customer executives to align technical work with project goals.
What you'll need#
- You must be planning to graduate in 2027, and this should be your final internship.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- An academic background in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
- A willingness to undergo a US government background investigation if required by the project.
- Interest in traveling to client sites, with a preference for those able to travel 25-50% of the time.
