About the role#
This is a part-time, hourly position for a Civil Engineering student. You will work under close supervision to perform routine tasks that require a grasp of fundamental engineering, mathematical, and construction concepts. You will support our engineers and project teams by preparing graphic materials, design sketches, study materials, and permit applications.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction phase services as directed by the project engineer.
- Check engineering calculations and perform basic design calculations.
- Complete project tasks like quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Help prepare marketing proposals.
- Collect field data and test samples.
- Maintain the technical library and handle routine filing and document delivery.
- Use computers, computer aided design, and other relevant software and hardware tools.
What you'll need#
- Current student status in Civil Engineering or a related discipline at an accredited college or university.

- Location: Lubbock, Texas.
- This is an on-site, paid position.
- The term is rolling.
