About the role#
This is a part-time, hourly position for a student to gain experience in civil engineering. You will work under close supervision to complete routine tasks that require an understanding of basic engineering, math, and construction concepts. You will support project teams by preparing design sketches, graphic materials, and permit applications.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction phase services under the direction of a project engineer.
- Check engineering calculations and perform fundamental tasks like quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Prepare basic design calculations and marketing proposals.
- Collect field data and test samples.
- Maintain the technical library and handle routine document filing and delivery.
- Use computer aided design software and other hardware tools as required.
- Take on other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current student status in Civil Engineering or a related discipline at an accredited college or university.
- Proficiency with computers and relevant software tools.

- This role is based on-site in Frisco, Texas.
- This is a paid, part-time position with a rolling term.
