About the role#
This position is part of the student employee pool for the Admissions, Assessment, and Financial Aid department. You will provide administrative support to help the office run smoothly. This role is on-site and follows a rolling schedule.
What you'll do#
- Answer phone calls and greet visitors, providing information or taking messages as needed.
- File, retrieve, and organize documents, records, and reports.
- Manage both paper and electronic filing systems.
- Create documents and assist with data entry using Microsoft Office applications.
- Handle incoming correspondence, including mail, faxes, and email.
- Operate office equipment such as copiers, PCs, and phone systems.
- Assist with special projects, research, and department events.
What you'll need#
- Current eligibility for student employment as determined by Financial Aid.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Access.
- Strong spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- Knowledge of general office procedures and filing systems.
- Ability to learn new computer systems and office equipment quickly.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A focus on punctuality and maintaining confidentiality.
