About the role#
We are looking for a Sustainability Student to join our team for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in either Oakville, Ontario or Edmonton, Alberta. You will support our sustainability initiatives by managing data, researching regulatory requirements, and helping us track our environmental performance.
What you'll do#
- Collect, clean, and validate sustainability and greenhouse gas (GHG) data to maintain accurate datasets.
- Analyze metrics such as energy use and recycling to create dashboards and reports.
- Assist in the development of tools and processes to improve data collection, including work on a corporate GHG emissions database.
- Research and track sustainability regulatory requirements to keep our records updated.
- Review peer ESG disclosures to provide insights and recommendations on our own performance metrics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Environmental Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest or coursework in data analysis, data management, or sustainability analytics.
- Experience or a strong aptitude for organizing and conditioning datasets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, specifically with formulas, pivot tables, and data cleaning techniques.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
