About the role#
We are looking for a Test Engineer Intern to support the testing and functional verification of our energy storage systems. You will work with our design and simulation teams to develop procedures, set up tests, and report on findings that shape the design of our products. This role offers hands-on experience in an early-stage energy company where you will interface with design, simulation, and manufacturing partners.
What you'll do#
- Conduct testing of functional, high voltage, thermal, and mechanical systems.
- Develop test strategies, plans, and procedures to evaluate risks.
- Analyze test data, report findings, and drive system enhancements.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues during testing.
- Perform root cause analysis on system failures.
- Maintain detailed records of tests, analyses, and corrective actions.
- Spearhead the design and acquisition of testing infrastructure.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience in test engineering, preferably within battery storage or renewable energy.
- A strong understanding of electromechanical engineering first principles.
- Proficiency in data processing and analysis tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Strong communication skills to present technical information to various stakeholders.
