About the role#
Pembina Pipeline Corporation is seeking a Safety Intern to join the Safety Service Unit in Calgary. This role reports to the Director of Process Safety and supports the broader Project Delivery and Technical Excellence Division. You will contribute to our safety culture of Zero by Choice by following our Life Saving Rules and maintaining a safe work environment. This is a 16-month internship position.
What you'll do#
- Provide end-to-end process safety support, including safety data analytics and KPI management.
- Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
- Deliver process safety engineering support to operations.
- Drive continuous improvement of safety systems, standards, and digital workflows.
- Use tools such as Microsoft Office, Copilot, ChatGPT, RPA, PowerBI, and the MS Power Platform to support daily tasks.
- Present project outcomes or learnings at the end of your term.
- Contribute to an equitable and inclusive workplace by working effectively with others.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering program, with at least 3 years completed by May 2026.
- You must be returning to school after the work term concludes.
- Ability to travel to the field for multiple-day trips.
- A commitment to the full duration of the 16-month term.
- Demonstrated reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn in a structured environment.
