About the role#
This internship at Blue Ridge TV-13 focuses on promoting news, sports, and live programming through social media. You will work directly with the Social Media Manager to create posts, videos, and graphics that highlight our productions. This is a part-time, paid position for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Update promotional templates for news and sports productions.
- Manage daily posts on Twitter/X, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Publish approved news and sports stories to YouTube.
- Handle other tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, or Communications.
- Pennsylvania residency.
- A valid PA driver's license and a good driving record.
- Experience with media communications, copywriting, and visual design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere and Photoshop.
- Familiarity with YouTube, Twitter/X, Meta platforms, and scheduling tools.
- Ability to work on both PC and Mac workstations.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Location & details#
- Location: Lehighton, Pennsylvania.
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM and Fridays from 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM (approximately 25 hours per week).
- Compensation: $10.00 per hour.
